Traffic Controller (TC) Level 1:

One Day


Cost: $215.65 (excluding GST) per person

NZTZ ID Card $40.00 (excluding GST) for the New Zealand Transport Agency Photo ID application fee.
Introduction to basic road safety and temporary traffic management for Low Volume and Level One roads. Promotes safe working practices, standards. and operating procedures at road work sites.

No prerequisites required to do this course.

Covering:  
  • The responsibilities of a Traffic Controller
  • The principles of roadwork layouts
  • Spacing for sign and delineation devices
  • Safe practices at the work site
  • Static and mobile operations
  • Reading Traffic Management Plans
Certification is valid for three years.

Lunch is provided at no addition cost

TC Refresher

One Day

Cost: $215.65 (excluding G.S.T) per person

NZTA ID Card: $40.00 (excluding G.S.T) for the New Zealand Traffic Agency photo ID application fee.
A refresher course for those whose TC qualification is due to expire or has expired no longer than one year.

Prerequisite: Must have a Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) qualification not expired longer than one year.

Covering:
  • Refreshing any updated TTM information from when first trained
  • The responsibilities of a Traffic Controller
  • The principles of roadwork layouts
  • Spacing for signs and delineation devices
  • Safe practices at the work sites
  • Static and mobile operations
  • Reading Traffic Management Plans

Updated Certification is valid for three years.

Lunch is provided at no additional cost.
